I asked my repair person the same question regarding my 20 year old horn. His response was the the "S" linkage was working fine and that a conversion would not yield any noticable benefits for me. he thought that the new linkage would provide a little quicker response. Its the same as if I bought a new $500 driver for my golf game to improve my distance off the tee by 30 yards when I only hit the ball 150 yards to begin with. It wasn't worth the time or expense for me.
