Question for the tuba mechanics on the board...
I play a PT1 stencil (Sonora brand) made in the early '80s. For whatever reason is has a small receiver which makes it difficult to find a mpc to fit. Most mpcs with a standard shank will only fit in about a half to three-quarters of an inch.
Should I consider switching out the receiver in favour of a "standard" size or would it be easier and just effective to have the mpc shanks turned down to make them fit?
