I've reread the original poster's request and read several responses that allege some sort of time crunch in this situation. Where in the original request did the guy say he needed the part quickly? I must have missed that part completely. It read to me as "please send me the part for free if you have it, the band here has all the parts but the tuba part, if you send it to me I'll love for forever." To me, this sounds like he wants the part and is unwilling to take the proper steps to get it. I would hope that anyone is this situation would do the responsible thing and get the part legitimately. Considering how small the tuba/euph community is, it will take an effort on all of our parts to create enough business for the composers and publishers so that they'll think it is worth their time to have music available for us to buy. When that changes, we'll all suffer.
