What I feel the need to ask is why the Band Director is putting a child in this position in the first place. His job requires him to supply music to his students through his having a library. The band supplies the band music, NOT the student.
He needs to secure a legal part for all of his students. Or he should just program a different piece altogether. What kind of a professional puts their kids in compromising positions such as this?
