I, personally, am beyond really caring what key the tuba sitting in my lap is in. Right now, I play a CC tuba- that is what my college professor suggested to me when I entered college- because I can sight read on a CC tuba better than I can on a BBb. I am hoping that in the course of a year, I can buy an EEb- for the exact same reason, I can sight read on EEb better than I can on F.
