I don't think you guys should make too much of the similarity in script on the bell ring. The script seems a pretty bland German script to me, and similarity may be trivial in the context of when and where it was built compared to how we look at it now. Also, Alexander was highly regarded, and it would behoove anyone desiring success to seek such similarity.
