As far as insurance goes - I believe that Southwest insures all baggage up to $2500. And, if you would like more insurance you can purchase up to $3750 for only $12.50 at the ticket counter. I did this recently when I flew for the first time with my Johnson... I wasted the $12.50. Your horn will be fine in that case.
