Wow, all of this talk of the death of symphony orchestras is making me question my college major... but is all lost? There seems to be a few other jobs that don't seem to be immediatly threatened, but I actually don't know much about them... could you guys give me some info? How are jobs such as - tubists in recording orchestras for movies and shows, military band tuba players, college level tuba professors, tuba players in major theme parks ect. How are these jobs in terms of pay and lasting into the future? And are there any other tuba positions that I haven't listed that are actually a decent job? Thanks for any info.
