I feel like alot of the info. about practice is very good. Still there could be some mechanical problems. I have a cervany 4/4 cc that I can only play up to G at the top of the staff. I can squeeze some more note up to the B or C above the staff but it is hard to do, most of the time I miss the note and even when I do get to the note(s) they are not of any quality. I also have a 6/4 cc VMI I can play to a B above the staff and can squeeze up to a D above the staff and everything sounds better, and I do this on the same mouthpiece too. I think your problem could be in the horn. Maybe you need to look toward trading your horn in for something you are more happy with. Then you wouldn't have to have 2 horns.
