You betcha! I just took tuba back up after many years' layoff, and I bought a CC BAT after playing BBb all throught my high school and college career. I learned trumpet fingerings at the same time that I was learning tuba, and I still have flashes of treble clef whenever I think CC fingerings. Instead of second line b as 2nd valve, I occasionally think of it as an g (treble clef open) or as a 1&2 valve BBb fingering. It's getting better, but it's taking time. The most irritating thing is dealing with band flat keys on CC tuba; it'd be great for orchestral keys, but the awkwarndess of band key fingerings and intonation problems is getting more and more irritating.
