I think the differences between Tenor (or alto, as it's called in the states) horn,a Baritone (English bore, more cylinderical than conical), and a Euphonium("American" or British/Swiss style) are great enough to notice, just as I also think a bass tuba is different than a contra bass tuba.
BTW, what about this euphonium name patent thing? That's really interesting. What company holds/held this patent? I don't think I've ever heard this before. I'd be grateful for any info you could pass along.
