Of course, then you'd only have a four-valve F tuba, which is pretty limiting all by itself.

If you use Miraphone parts (just to name one example), a rotary valve, the two bends, inner slides, outer slides, and crook, in loose, unfinished parts, will cost about $400. Add labor. Lots of it, unless you are willing to tackle the project yourself.
