Does anyone have any experience with tubas that use a 4th valve setup OTHER than the standard 1-3 equivalent? I've heard that some players, (Mr. Bill Rose for example), use a system in which the 4th valve is equal to a 2-3 combination. Any experiences and/or thoughts to share, especially regarding a BBb instrument, would be apprecitated. I'm going to be adding a 4th valve to a horn soon and I'm trying to decide how to configure it, length and pitch-wise.
