What do you mean by a heavy instrument? A lot a manufacturers use pretty much the same system as Geib's horn except the 4th = 1,3 and 5 = 2,3. Sorry, I just don't know why this would make for such a heavy instrument. Miraphone use this setup and I don't remember them being heavy.
