The 201 is quite a large tuba. It stands a good 40" + tall I bet. It would depend on the size of the middle schooler. I have an 8th grade student who uses a big Besson which is very similar, but he is taller than I am! It will be a large horn for most 6th graders. They will need to use some kind of a tuba stand or holder to lower the tuba so the mouthpiece fits them. They will not be able to hold the horn on their lap, unless they are big kids. I would recommend the 105 instead. It is a bit small, but will be much easier to handle and consequently will probably get fewer dents.
