Hi guys! I have been asked by a friend of mine to research whether the YBB-105 and the YBB-201 are correct tubas to purchase for her middle school band. I did my research on the archives and this is what I have found:
YBB-105: 3/4 tuba with 3 top action piston valves, that usually sells for about $2500
YBB-201: 4/4 tuba with 3 top action piston valves, and has been compared to the YBB- 321 and has been known to have better tone and intonation than the YBB- 641 and is regularily used by high school students

What I need to know is: How much does a YBB-201 sell for? Is this a good combination for a middle school band? Why she is not getting 2 of the same horn, I do not know! I do not know her budget. Do you guys think that these tubas would be sufficient enough for a middle school band? Thank you very much!

Sousaphonically,
Kevin Eckelkamp
