When I got my PT-5 (basically a PT-6 with a smaller bell throat), I was using a PT-48. It was ok, but not what I was looking for. I tried a PT-42 then a 36....still wasn't happy. Then came along the Dillon Mendoker 1C and I've never looked back. It blows more evenly than any of the PT's that I tried. Great sound and intonation. I couldn't ask for more....well...maybe a new Yorkbrunner for my favorite mouthpiece!

Good luck in finding the "one for you"....not the one that everyone else plays!

Your mileage may vary....

Josh
