the parts for the vaughn williams second movement are too hard? is he confused with the piece as a whole. the third and first movements have tough parts but i didn't think the second movement would be hard at all for a community orchestra. the toughest thing about the second movement for the orchestra would be feeling the pulse between the contrasting three and two feel. but with a conductor giving the pattern it should work fine. this is right now my favorite music to play (the 2nd mvt of vaughn williams). there is so much musical thought and expression displayed throughout the movement. this was definetly a step towards the beautiful musicality heared from tuba players( musicians who play tuba) today.
