There are some summer ones that are the next level above "music camp" orchestras...dern hard to get into, some of them. They don't pay anything, but they take care of your lodging, and maybe your food. Round Top (in Texas), National Repertory Orchestra (in Colorado - formerly called the Colorado Philharmonic), and some others. Ask some friends of yours who might know people who study at music conservatories or conservatory-level university schools of music. Those students can usually rattle off the names of these summer festivals. I personally am not terribly knowledgable, and do not know any more "year-round" ones than you do.
