A bass trombone colleague of mine is considering purchasing an inexpensive tuba for himself. He intends to use it as a teaching tool, not really for any serious performing. His initial hope was to find something with a relatively small bore so that he could use his regular bass trombone mouthpiece with the horn, with at most minimal modifications to the shank.
He has stumbled across the Tuba Exchange website and has sent me an email inquiry about the brand name V&E. This is a brand unfamiliar to me and I was wondering if any of you knew anything about these horns. I want to make sure my friend gets a good quality, useable horn so I would appreciate any information you can provide on this line of horns.
