Yep, Alan and his Gronitz made it into the mic mix more than I am accustomed to hearing out of my little TV speaker during "Live from Lincoln Center"...very pretty sound...very VERY nice for Brahms.
It always shocks me to see that Principal Violist lady playing with that "yellow 'cello" under her chin...or is that a snow shovel?
Man, are those guys all gettin' gray or what? Martin Bookspan's voice sure is shaky these days...and "dainty" Backstage-Beverly Sills...my GOODNESS!!...
...I'm sure glad I'm not getting old and fat.
(The orchestra played great. Alan sounded wonderful.)
