I know there are a bunch of you who double on electric bass.
One of my wife's uncles is offering me his Fender Precision bass, which he says is American-made, with a cheapie Peavey amp for between six and seven hundred bucks. The name rings bells with me as being a solid instrument that is somewhat of a standard, but other than that I know nothing about them.
Do any of you bass doublers out there have any opinions? Anything I should look at in particular, or watch out for?
