Now that all the histrionics are over, the compulsory "what horn did the guy play" questions have been asked, and EVERYONE has chimed in with their take on the whole shootin' match, wouldn't it be nice if some of the auditionees would post to the board what it was like to audition, what they felt the committee was looking for, how they went about preparing for the audition,etc? SOMETHING EDUCATIONAL instead of the same "blah-blah-blah is a shoe-in for the job because he shined Doug Yeo's grandfathers shoes? I, for one, even at the advanced age of 42, am REALLY interested in the process that top-notch players go through, mentally and physically, to get ready for this type of audition. I will now sit back and await the usual anonymous remarks and hope someone who was there can shed light on the process.
