The 5th valve certainly looks easier to maintain. That's my only real complaint about the design, but I'm sure Matt had a very good reason for doing it the way it was done. My only other point of contention is that the pistons are somewhat less than average in their quality, IMO. They seem to take a lot more oil and cleaning than other pistons I've worked with. The large valve buttons also seem to make it easy to be lazy and play with a rotary valve stroke eg. pushing the valve down at an angle. Does anybody know if the smaller King silver buttons will work on the Conn stems?
