I think you have to take in overall size. The king 2341 is a 4/4 or 8/8 in the X/8 system. Bell size, bore, throat size, height, width, etc. must be taken in consideration. How can someone say a Conn 52J is the same 4/4 size as a 2155? Is the yamaha 621 BBb a 2/4, 3/4, 4/8, or a 5/8? All I'm asking is, is there a better system to distinguish the sizes of all tubas?
