I didn't play all the horns at the TUSAB TubaEuph Conf, but I did have a couple of favorites. The new PT-20p is a pretty good horn. Think of it as a PT-4++. A much better 4/4 than the pt-4 and easy to play. I liked the PT-7p also. Back to back with thr PT-6p, I thought it came out ahead, but then again I like big horns.

The Dillon/Conn 4/4 CC was one I kept coming back to. It ain't a big horn, but it's big enough for most college students and anyone playing in medium sized ensembles. Dillon also had a Buescher cut 4/4 CC which was my very favorite 4/4 I played there. It had lots of personality and was easy to play.

I liked the Hirsbrunner euphonium, but Farah gets a truck and a new horn before I even consider shopping for a euphonium or bass trombone.

I took a ton of pictures and will post some once they get developed and I have time to scan them in and upload them.
