I agree with Todd whole heartedly. Most water keys on tubas are as useful as tits on a turtle. I don't think it is necessary to completely remove and cover over the keys though. When you are emptying out, put the bell on your left leg so the horn is pointing down and proceed to pull the slides. The water should drain right out. Aren't the tuning slides on the Menil Weston piston tubas Ridiculous? Ones side of the fourth valve slide must be 18 inches long! The 2155 is the same way.
