JS has established the benchmark that we should all play 48 scales, every day.
A fine individual benchmark.
My question is different - consider the groups that you normally play with: how many scales can they play, in unison, from memory? If your ensemble warms up by playing scales - how many do you play (and which ones, if it's always the same one(s)...)
