There are now tuners in the twenty dollar price range that
- can be calibrated
- hear tuba notes all the way down to the lowest AA on the piano (or lower)
- can "hit the deck" dozens of times without breaking (at least mine)
- can generate audible tones
- are name-brand
Korg CA-30
Obviously, there are fancier tuners...some that do various temperments, etc., but it seems to me that $60-$80 tuners from a decade ago cannot "hear" as well as the Korg CA-30's that I'm selling...nor were they as durable and "battery conservative".
