no difference at all, but of course you don't get it because you are not trying to understand another view. You have a telephone? Its there to be used, apparently by whomever wants to. Just like your mail box. Just like the internet. You have no more right to control who calls you, than a "merchant" has to avoid being dragged through the coals by selfish, discourteous, rude, (usually American) consumers. Thanks for emphasizing that. Why are you so dead-nuts against "merchants" who do not prescribe to YOUR business model? are you REALLY typing all this convoluted b.s. for their benefit?

Here's a better question: in order for Brook Mays to have survived, or Brasswinds to flourish, how many hard core service-oriented shops or local music stores need to fail?

MY answer would be "if even one its too many." Think of THAT if you ever bung your MP receiver on your horn and need to have it repaired in an hour. Think of THAT if you liked the sound of that hand-built euro horn, but can only find a yama-clone copy on the net.
Think of THAT when you get excited about your latest CD purchase, and read the enxt day about your local orchestra filing bankruptcy.

But after all, times are changing.....maybe we should go lockstep along with the consumer-lemming herd, and truth is, without the capability to actually THINK as if you're in another person's shoes, there's really no other choice.
