Those are great schools, but be realistic. I know for a fact that Perantoni only takes the very best students in the country for his studio, and I would imagine that is the same for John Stevens. As for Manhattan, and New England I have never heard of their teachers. Joe Skillen at LSU is one of the hottest tuba teachers in the country. And Winston Morris has forgotten more about the tuba than most of the younger teachers in this country will ever know. Word to the wise I DID NOT attend either of these schools, I can just look at the track record and see the results.
