You're right about the possibility of a used horn by a better maker but then I'm back to the problem of not having time to drive 300-500 miles to check one out. On top of that, I can't help equating this with buying a used car ("someone elses junk").
Is a used brand name horn that much better than a new cheaper brand? One other thing, when I learned to play (about 100 years ago) I had no access to a 4v horn. This being the case I'm afraid my ignorance is abundant...does the fourth valve add THAT much?
I've only touched a 4v once or twice and I really didn't know what I was doing.
