There are two Rufus Reid books.
The Evolving Bassist does deal with bass line structures, but does it in relation to fingering techniques for upright/electric playing. As you get into the middle and back of the book, Mr. Reid constructs lines in differing meter, speed, and complexity.
The Upwardly Evolving Bassist gets more into theory and is a good method for expanding line construction.
He does a real good job of focusing on bass line construction. this series would make a great addition, even with the lack of tuba directed advise.
