I wouldn't worry about it in any case. There may be attacks on this board, but I don't think there's that much grudge-holding, so each new post is likely to be treated afresh unless it is perceived as being sneakily related to older threads.

As to your question, if the instrument plays like you want it to, and your intentions for it are modest in any case, why not leave it as it is and enjoy it? The wide bell was a nice modification to the old EEb compensators, by all accounts, but the smaller bell plays well, too--it just isn't as versatile.
