Here's something from the BiNak website:

How do I start using the BiNaK musical instrument oils?

Simply clean and dry your instrument to the best of your capability, then place one drop on valves and spin in, or draw one thin line on slides. Remember, don't overuse this product. It is not necessary! You may experience an initial residue on the instrument. That is caused by the BiNaK musical instrument oils cleaning off other products that have caused a build up on the instrument. If this happens, simply re-wipe the valves and slides and reapply the BiNaK musical instrument oils on to now clean metals. Please note: You will not need to reapply as often.

Do not automatically lubricate your instrument, unless you feel that lubrication is not quick. Remember, there is no evaporation factor and this oil lasts much longer!
