I was just examining the Thein website and noticed the $23,000 dollar BBb tuba. 5(!) piston valves and the general design make it highly impressive. I guess that or a Fafner would probably count as phenomenal. Also, I am looking for a Helleberg-size (not style) mouthpiece with a more comfortable rim. Would a PT-84 fit the bill?
Lastly, do Rudy Meinls in general fit these criterium?
1.Easy to produce nice, full, deep sound
2.Good amount of tone color
3.Easy to play like #1 across all registers
4.Plays in tune well
