You seem to be referring to the formula for the speed of sound in air:
Sound Speed (in meters per second) = (331.0 + 0.6T), where "T" represents Celsius temperature. At room temperature it comes out to 342 m/s.
To convert temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius you subtract 32 and then multiply by 1.8. You already know how to convert the speed from meters to second to inches per second.
There is a downloadable spreadsheet on my website that calculates tubing lengths pretty well, but it does not take temperature changes into account. Perhaps I shall work on that when I get time.
