Have you actually HEARD the Mahler 3rd with Ozawa and Boston? If you had, you'd know that the BSO brass section really kicks butt on that. Frankly, it's the very best recording I've ever heard of the big brass chorale near the end of the 6th movement Adagio. It's even better than what's on either of the CSO's two commercial recordings of the 3rd (Levine, then Solti). The BSO trombones go absolutely ape s__t on that big brass chorale. You're out of your mind, and have probably been reading too many newspaper critics.
