Now that Chester is retiring, let's share our favorite recorded moments. Mine is, hands down, the Leinsdorf/BSO "Romeo and Juliet" by Prokofiev. Chester single handedly lays waste to the entire orchestra on most of this recording. It is on the RCA label and probably out of print. In 1968 Chester would have been playing his Alex. Truly impressive not only from a tuba playing standpoint, but the music making is top notch!!!.
