I have to agree with everything said here about the older Miraphone 188's. For my money, it is the most versatile rotary-valved CC tuba available. I just purchased one in the 12XXX series and it plays beautifully. I previously owned another one in the same series, which was also an outstanding horn, but had a little more wear on it.
