You may be able to get the cloth and polyester resin, plus some advice, from a local canoe outfitter or enthusiast club. I was able to nurse an old plywood type case back to life by reinforcing the joints from the inside with some sheet metal angle stock and poprivets, and then fiberglassing the outside. It was pretty messy stuff. I think starting from scratch might be a daunting task. When that case fails, I plan to look into an anvil-type box. Good Luck.
