I'm new around here, and didn't at first realize that the Joe S. of Tubenet fame is the same gentleman who did the work on this Holton. I'm not given to unbridled praise in forums such as these, but I'm awe-struck. I've never seen a horn with that sort of detailing, with highly polished slides and bow sleeves and satin everything else. Every curve has a delicate grace to it--no sharp corners anywhere. It may be the prettiest horn I've ever seen.
I wanted to look at it to see how he approached the conversion, and I ended up printing out all the pictures.
Even if I had the money, I would not dream of buying a horn like this. It would be wasted. I hope it ends up in the hands of someone who will show it off properly.
