As a "treble clef" fan, I like the idea of playing a very beautiful (and perhaps well-known) piece that was, perhaps, originally written for the "wrong" ;^) instrument.
Gene P. attracted Sir S.'s attention with this ploy (as if he needed a "gimmick").
Encounters II is GREAT fun, and extremely impressive though, I agree. I found that the old 184 barked that tune out just like I wanted it to sound, and haven't played that tune since I sold that horn.
