My favorite book is the "S. Vasiliev 24 Melodious Etudes." This book is not as challenging technically as others, but it is much more of a challenge in a musical sense. The things that this is aimed toward are phrasing, melodies, clean articulation and other musical factors. As I said before, it's not a "chops builder," but it really makes you go for a good, lyrical playing style. It is distributed by Robert King (of course). God Bless
