I am looking for a good book out there that'll teach me the basics on Improvisation and such. I know all of my chords, but just can't seem to put them to use when called upon to do a solo. I'd like to do more than just the walking base line, catch my drift? Any recommendations on what I should look for? I hear that Jamey Abersold's "Omni" book is a good candidate. They probably don't make them solely for tuba, so I don't mind reading those written for bass. Thanks!
