I took a lesson with him, and he had some good things to say as far as solo playing, but as far as orchestral stuff his ideas were different from all of the other teachers I have had (And I've been blessed with some great teachers). But, he did in the course of the lesson insult me and then I auditioned for him and he was downright mean to me (I will tell you the story if you like if you e-mail me privately).
