Hey Sean
You got me thinking. Could it be that those who bought Festivas, considered their car cheap and possibly disposable to begin with? When I see customers buy a new $3000 tuba and consider it a great investment instead of a cheapy, those horns always come back for preventitive maintenance and stay looking and playing great. Inevitablly, families who have to settle for lesser name and/or used horns against the desire of the child or occasional full sized child, are bringing back abused horns for me to fix. It isn't always who can afford what. Similar used horns that for one reason or another, a student loves from the beginning, stay in good working condition.
You know what? You're right about having to stretch to get your tubas. Every horn that I appreciated, was a strain to obtain. Thanks for the forum.
