Just have to get in on this one. I am an amateur, but have an Amati 4/4 rotary model 68 that was made in 1987. It seems to be a pretty good horn, has seen a fair amount of play, and is still holding up well. I had it looked at by a repairman friend before I bought it, and that is a suggestion for any used horn purchase (for quality of constuction, wear, etc). Also things change with time, so back to some of the previous ideas related to looking, trying out, etc.
