I'm going to tell you don't let prices fool you. There are some decent tubas out there for prices that are pretty good deals. I've seen tubas cost around the $1000 to $2000 range that were just as good as the $5000 ones and even $10000 ones with great tone quality, etc., everything that a tuba player could want or need. It's just the matter of finding what you are looking for.
