When I taught at the University of Mississippi, the band director had put all of the schools' 4-valve King tubas "on mothballs" and was replacing them with YBB-641 tubas, purchased from his favorite music store.
I simply could not teach students who were playing those. The F#/G in the staff is unusable, and anything above high Bb is all over the place and tenuous, at best.
Given the choice, I'd wrestle with the 3-valve Jupiter.
' best of luck. I know your playing will come through, regardless of your equipment choice.
